Genshin Impact: Rusty Koi and Golden Koi Locations
The 2.1 Update in Genshin Impact introduced fishing and with that, the ability to catch unique and rare fish. You can collect valuable fish and obtain rewards with the Fishing Association. Two notable fish that you can use as a pet in the Serenitea Pot are the Golden Koi and Rusty Koi. By the end of this guide, you will learn all known locations for the Rusty and Golden Koi in Genshin Impact.
Rusty Koi and Golden Koi Locations in Genshin Impact
Once you unlock the Serenitea Pot and complete the “Exploding Population” quest, you will unlock fishing. You will need to craft bait that is specific to the type of fish you are trying to catch. Golden Koi and Rusty Koi can be caught using Fake Fly Bait. They share many fishing locations, but some spots have just one Koi type. The images below also show the approximate locations.
The following fishing spots have both Kois:
Liyue
- West of Wangshu Inn at the docks.
- Southeast of Guili Plains at the Mingyun Village bridge.
- Near the Hidden Palace of Guizang Formula in Luhua Pool.
Inazuma
- Koseki Village, next to the Statue of the Seven.
In addition, Cider Lake has just the Rusty Koi. It is located just East of Mondstadt, northeast of the bridge. The Golden Koi can also be found at the Stormbearer Mountains in the Mondstadt nation. It is located South of the Anemo Hypostasis.
You can catch other types of fish in these spots as well. Some others include the Sweet-Flower Medaka, Betta, Akai Maou, and Brown Shirakodai in Liyue. To catch these different fish, you will need to use other types of bait.
